Where is The Woodlands?

The Woodlands is very easily accessible due to its central England location and proximity to road and rail networks. Yet, it's nestled far enough in to the countryside, for guests to be totally unaware of anything but their woodland surroundings.

Birmingham airport is accessible in around an hour, Market Harborough mainline train station (with direct trains to London) is just 15 minutes in a taxi and the M1/ M6/A14 road network is just 15-20 minutes' drive from The Woodlands.

It's unlikely that you or your fellow guests on retreat will wish to head offsite, but if you do there's plenty to see and do locally.

Market towns Market Harborough and Lutterworth are about 15 minutes' drive in opposite directions and offer a wealth of shops (independent and chain), museums, cafes and leisure centres between them.

Foxton Locks - Britain's longest set of staircase locks - is just a few miles away and can be reached on foot if you enjoy country walks too. As well as watching the narrow boats pass through the locks, there's also a small museum, tea room and a couple of pubs.

The Woodlands, believe it or not, lies across two great counties - Leicestershire and Northamptonshire - meaning there's lots to do during your stay or if you want to make a stop on your way home. Discover the area...
