Yasmin & Craig met in 2009 whilst working together at their local sports club. The couple moved in together in 2010 and their little boy Ryan was born, he was later joined by little sister Ellisia. “Craig and Ryan plotted the big proposal together,” Yasmin remembers. “On Ryan's birthday, Craig got down on one knee and proposed with the help of Ryan smiling and telling mummy to take the ring out and put it on!”
“We had visited several venues, but didn't really get 'that' feeling,” Yasmin told us. “Two long months later I spotted Hothorpe on a wedding venue search and loved the look of The Woodlands. We instantly got 'that' feeling. We loved the exclusivity of the venue, how the guests can stay just a stone throw away and that it was a new venue that no one had heard of. The prospect of sleeping in a treehouse was the icing on the cake!”
Yasmin & Craig had a church service at All Saints Theddingworth, before making the short trip to The Woodlands to celebrate with family and friends.”We were greeted by fabulous staff with our arrival drinks outside.” Yasmin told us. “We were super lucky with the weather, it didn't rain until 9pm - which worked well as all the guests came inside and danced!” Many of the couple’s family and friends booked rooms at The Woodlands, “Having breakfast with them the next day was brilliant! Our food was spectacular - perfect!” Yasmin remembers. “The whole day flowed better than I could have ever imagined. Steph was brilliant! She ensured everything was going to plan.”
“Steph was our wedding coordinator and I cannot thank her enough. She was faultless. Right from the planning stage through to the following morning at breakfast helping. All our guests commented on how professional the staff were and how pleasant everyone was! Thank you.”
“We cannot believe how many people loved the venue, they complimented everything from the venue right down to drinks and food.” Yasmin said. “The treehouse is AMAZING, just wish we could have had longer in there. We couldn't have wished for a better day - we want to relive it every day!”
The Bride looked stunning in a beautiful princess style dress with a glitzy bodice and floor length vail. The Bridesmaids all wore the same dress in five different complementary pastel colours. The Groom and Groomsmen all wore co-ordinating suits, with three of the bridesmaid colours between them.
“Remember this is your day as a couple and enjoy it.” Yasmin advises. “Try and get some time alone, photographs on your own is a good way to do this and explore the grounds too. Take a step back and take everything in. Don't worry about a thing, it’s probably been taken care of already!”
