It goes without saying that it’s important to view a potential wedding venue so you can get a feel for the place. Ask any couple who have booked their venue, and nine times out of ten they’ll say that their gut feeling decided it was the place for them!

Most venues will offer private appointments, inviting you to have a look around at a time that’s convenient for you, however certain venues will also hold showcases.

Here at Hothorpe Venues we have two very different styles of wedding venues, a country manor house and a modern woodland retreat, so we know how important it is for couples to distinguish between to two and decide which is for them.

Here are our reasons to make sure you never miss a showcase…

Styling

Its highly unlikely that a venue will be set up for a wedding during a private viewing. You’ll be able to see the basics such as layout, chair and table styles or guest bedrooms, but a showcase gives the chance to see the whole works…

Whether it’s Hothorpe Hall or The Woodlands, professional stylists and suppliers dress each venue, allowing you to get a full picture of your wedding day. As you grab a welcome drink and have a wonder round the wedding décor is sure to leave you feeling inspired and excited!

Suppliers

Our showcases will allow you to meet our recommended suppliers. We always invite a variety of providers including cake makers, venue stylists and florists to attend on the day. You definitely don’t have to look far for inspiration for your own big day! Also take the chance to have a chat about what you’re looking for, what’s possible within your chosen venue and where to go from there.

Meet the team

Not only will you to get a feel of the venue, but our wonderful team too. Members of staff are always available to answer any questions, show you around and run through packages and availability.

It’s so important for you to see first-hand the excellent support and service offered by everyone from our wedding team to the bar and service staff. After all, they will all play a part in making your day run smoothly and you can come away confident that you’re in capable hands!

Family and friends

A showcase means you can bring everyone along. Mostly, only the bride and groom will attend a private appointment, whereas loads of family and friends attend showcases!

You get the opportunity to show off your gorgeous venue to the mother of the bride, bridesmaids, best men, groomsmen or whoever you choose, what’s not to love?
