Themes: 1950S

Blue collage with wedding car and shoes

Have we mentioned how lucky we are to see every kind of wedding under the sun? We’ll just say it one more time and make a sing and dance about another one of our favourite themes… The 1950’s! This theme is completely versatile depending on what you make it and we’ve seen it done absolutely brilliantly at both Hothorpe Hall and The Woodlands.

Both venues are surrounded by acres of land that can definitely be made the most of for your 1950’s style garden party! Think a pastel colour pallet, bunting, live bands, vintage dresses, polka dots and (hopefully) lots of sunshine and you can’t go wrong with a fifties theme, no matter if you’re in a manor house or a woodland venue!

After meeting with 9 Hole Event Hire at The Unconventional Wedding Festival, we can easily picture a game of mini golf or croquet on the lawns, manor house in the background, giving your big day a fifties feel!

Or perhaps vintage games down at The Woodlands? Splat the Rat or 10 Green Bottles anyone?
