The Tipi At Winter Woodland Weddings

There’s no denying that woodland weddings in the warmer months of the year benefit from the abundance of outside space, the ability to spill on to decking for drinks and the opportunity to marry al fresco in The Hideaway.

However, there’s something rather endearing about a crisp, frosty – or even snowy (!) – wedding, which is why we’ve created a cosy haven for winter at The Woodlands.

New for 2020, the spectacular tipi will nestle perfectly in a gap opposite The Woodlands’ venue and will be included in your woodland wedding package. The tipi – an addition worth over £1500 – is an ideal entertaining space for your post-ceremony drinks reception.

As guests spill out of the ceremony room within the venue, they’ll be directed across the short path and into the tipi where they’ll be welcomed with a drink and a roaring log fire. Once everyone’s inside and the drinks are flowing, we’ll close the huge oak doors for added warmth.

The tipi offers more than enough space for all your daytime guests, whether seated or standing, so you may like to take the opportunity to have some photos taken sipping eggnog around the fire!

When it’s time for your wedding breakfast to be served, we’ll guide guests back across to the venue to be seated, leaving you and your new husband or wife to enjoy a few minutes alone in the tipi, before introducing you back in to the room.

During the evening, your party can continue in the venue – perhaps with a DJ or live band performing – however, you also have the option of keeping the tipi open for guests to enjoy as a quieter chill out area. It’s a great space to add a photobooth to capture the mood of the day as guests relax, unwind and celebrate your winter woodland wedding.
