Emma & Ryan's Spring Wedding

Emma & Ryan - April 2018

Ryan waited a year until Emma agreed to go on a date with him, after their initial meeting in a local bar. His patience paid off as in April 2017 Emma said ‘yes’ as he got down on one knee in front of the Eiffel Tower during a romantic trip to Paris.

Searching for the perfect venue

With such a beautiful backdrop for their engagement, the couple knew they were looking for a stunning venue. Emma said, “Hothorpe ticked all the boxes,” with its “beautiful location.”

The Big Day

The couple married in church and then headed to Hothorpe to celebrate with around 100 day guests and a further 70 joined the evening party.

With a subtle 1920s style throughout the day, the bridesmaids wore stylish grey dresses with feather trims to complement the bride’s all white and finely detailed dress. The groomsmen looked suitably dapper in dinner jackets.

Emma and Ryan’s day was perfect, with thanks to the support of the “superb” Hothorpe team and the resident Toastmaster who Emma described as “so warm and welcoming.”

Emma’s advice to other couples

Emma and Ryan will always remember seeing everything come together with their family and friends and say, “make sure you spend time together,” and remember to, “relax, enjoy and celebrate that you are marrying your special person!”

Recommendations

The couple agree they would, “absolutely recommend” Hothorpe Hall to other couples and not just due to its beautiful location and reasonable bar and accommodation rates.  They say, “it caters for all individual requirements, the staff are efficient and professional and the food is superb.”
