Big Benefits To A Small Wedding

Here at Hothorpe Venues, we’re determined to keep a smile on our face as we adapt to the ever-changing government guidelines, and what better way to do that than with a wedding?

Our micro wedding package has been designed with those in mind who are determined not to let the current situation rain on their parade. After all, a wedding with 15 guests isn’t any less of a wedding than one with 200 guests!

Under the current regulations your ceremony, drink reception, wedding breakfast and evening reception can go ahead for up to 15 people, if tables are separated into 6 people and the celebrations end by 10pm. So whether you’re looking to go ahead with the ceremony only or still want the whole shebang, we can go for it!

Luckily, we happen to have not just one, but two wedding venues for you to choose from, and we are more than happy to work with couples directly to create a bespoke micro wedding package to ensure that although the numbers are at a minimum, the day is enjoyed to the maximum!

Just because a wedding is small in numbers doesn’t mean everything else has to be, you can still go big on décor, cake, flowers and dining! As always, we have our recommended suppliers list available and our in-house chefs can prepare everything from relaxed dining to several course taster menus.

Here are a few other advantages of a micro wedding, after all they do say good things come in small packages!

  1. Money

Perhaps the most obvious is the fact that the cost of your day is likely to be much cheaper! If the thought of paying for a huge wedding gives you the heebie-jeebies, now could be the perfect time to say your vows!

It also means that if you’d rather prioritise your money elsewhere, you can. For example, you’re paying less for your wedding, you may as well go ahead and book that 5* luxury break you’ve been dreaming of!

  1. Time

Ask anyone who’s been married, and they’ll tell you that the day usually goes by in a blur. With a smaller guest list, it gives you more time to spend one on one with your guests and make the most of an intimate celebration.

  1. Atmosphere

A positive to cutting your guest list to bare minimum is that you know whoever you spend your day with means a lot to you and your partner. You’ll have a relaxed day with a calm and loving atmosphere!
