Thank you for your interest in working at Hothorpe Hall & The Woodlands. Our vacancies are listed below.

Housekeeping Assistants - Up to £8.24 p/hr

We are looking for Housekeeping Assistants to work a variety of shifts according to business needs. Experience in a similar role is preferred, although we are happy to train individuals with a keen eye for detail and a 'can do' attitude. Applicants should be aware that working in Housekeeping can be physically demanding. You will need your own transport or a reliable lift to and from work due to our rural location.

We are looking to fill multiple positions with variable hours offered. Please apply to Emily McDonald (details below).

Chef de Partie, full-time, 40 hours per week, £18,000 - £21,000 a year

Catering for 90 weddings, 80 functions and 100s of conference groups and corporate away days every year, we are in a strong position and want to expand our existing team. We are not your usual conference venue, we're family owned, with a commitment to doing everything right and investing in our employees. This includes making all our own dishes, allowing our guests to enjoy real food tailored to their needs, not what's at the back of a frozen wagon. Your creativity and contribution to menus is encouraged.

We are looking for a talented and passionate chef who wants to take the next step in their career. You will be required to:

  • Provide guidance to junior kitchen staff members, including but not limited to, line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating
  • Demonstrate a keen eye for detail and a knowledge and sense of what ingredients work well together
  • Work in a fast paced environment maintaining high standards
  • Oversee and organise kitchen stock and ingredients
  • Ensure a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verify all food products are properly dated and organised for quality assurance
  • Keep cooking stations stocked, especially before and during prime operation hours
  • Train new kitchen employees to restaurant and kitchen standards
  • Be responsible for food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and high standards

Relevant qualifications are desirable and experience is a must. Over time is paid or given as days off in lieu. 5.6 weeks' holiday, pension scheme and uniform supplied.

On site accommodation in desirable countryside setting is available, if required.
